All About Sugar

Sugar is a very controversial topic these days. But that hasn’t always been the case.
…do you remember Snackwell’s cookies in the ‘80s & ‘90s? They were FULL of refined white sugar but had 0 grams of fat, and therefore deemed “healthy”. They weren’t, but our current full-scale denial of all things sweet and carby isn’t healthy either.
Personally, I’m a mega sweet craver. My body craves it all day long AND I feel better when sweet foods are in my life. For my body, they can be balancing. Maybe they are for you too :).
The problems and benefits of sugar and sweet foods are nuanced. It’s wrong to put everything sweet into a basket of “NO!” foods and it’s wrong to say they’re all wonderfully healthy.
Some sweet foods are perfectly packaged to give you a glorious boost of energy. And some sweet foods trigger blood sugar imbalances, inflammation, and are linked to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and Type II Diabetes.
In this masterclass, we’re going to dive into the nuance of sweet foods and sugar. Which ones are gentle on the body, which ones strain the body, and you’ll learn how to have them in your life in balance.
Part 1: Sugar 101 & why does your body like sugar?
